- Describe the fundamental principles and legal framework of occupational health and safety management in Ghana, including the Factories, Offices and Shops Act 1970 (Act 328) and relevant sector-specific regulations.
- Apply risk assessment methodologies to identify, evaluate, and control common workplace hazards in various Ghanaian industrial settings.
- Conduct basic health and safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and legal requirements.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of employers, employees, and safety representatives in promoting a safe working environment according to Ghanaian labour laws.
- Report on health and safety performance indicators and incidents, adhering to established reporting protocols within an organisation.
- Support the implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans in line with organisational policies and relevant Ghanaian emergency services guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of a positive health and safety culture within a workplace.

Entry Requirements
Qualify through any one of these routes:
WASSCE / SSSCE / GCE O'Level (or equivalent) with credits in Mathematics, English, and at least one discipline-relevant subject.
At least 2 years of documented relevant industry experience, with employer reference and a portfolio of work evidence.
A certificate or diploma in a related discipline, subject to assessment of equivalence.
